Who we are 

Swiss King – or King’s Studios - is managed by a team of friendly and talented folk – there to assist owners and tenants alike.

Jessica and Tana are joint owners together with 5 others who own their own space.  Jessica and Tana supervise the day-to-day operations supported by Vicky.

Jessica is British but first came to Hong Kong as a child in the 1950’s and considers Hong Kong home.  She has had a few careers.  She was employed in the early 70’s by such companies as Rothmans Cigarettes –

and was the navigator to the Clerk of the Course for the Rothmans Hong Kong’s 48-hour rallies in the early 70’s.  She never smoked ! 

 

Through connections with Sir Douglas Clague, she worked in the Marketing Department of A. S. Watsons (https://www.aswatson.com/ ) long before Li Ka Shing had much to do with Hutchison. 

 

She was employed with Hong Kong Security Ltd. 

 

Jessica set up her own security company installing integrated security systems in HK and China - from the US Embassy in Beijing and the Motorola Plant in Tianjin to Taipans homes here in Hong Kong.  She worked on TSCM for multinationals wanting to keep their information secret.  After 33 years Jessica sold her company to G4S https://www.g4s.com/en-hk   a Jardine company at that time and the deal was sealed with firing the Noon Day Gun.  She bid farewell to her 110 members of staff, many still holding friendships to this day.

 

She served as Chair for 4 years at the Hong Kong Security Association https://thehksa.com/ representing the industry to the HK Government.

 

Jessica was also a helicopter rescue pilot for 24 years with the HK Government Flying Services – then named the RHKAAF https://www.gfs.gov.hk/en/home/index.html  . 

Innumerable nights and days Jessica was Hong Kong’s ‘Duty Pilot’ and often called upon to carry out some rescue or other at 3 p.m. or at the dead of night as required. Jessica and Tana, both pilots, had their own private 4-seater plane in the UK and flew it all over the country and Western Europe.  It was sold just before Covid started primarily as it was becoming too expensive.

Jessica set up a legal business for 16 years specialising in Wills and family estate planning and advised on family matters to over 3000 clients before selling that business in 2022.  Through Jessica’s setting up Professional Wills Ltd and trained all her team, (https://www.profwills.com/),  at least 4 other companies were spawned offering similar services to the people of HK.  Jessica was pleased to teach so many people to provide this service to the many people who needed it.

 

Now, Jessica has a more relaxed work environment for her retirement years in being a Landlady and providing professional and friendly service to the tenants and owners she enjoys the company of in King’s Studios.

 

Tana is from Thailand, one of 8 children in her family.  She started her professional work in the hospitality business first with the Novotel Group and then with the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok – being of the most prestigious of hotels in Bangkok - and received many an honour for her work in client relations. https://www.banyantree.com/thailand/bangkok  Tana was head hunted to work in the Seychelles but her love for Thailand kept her in the country she loves.  Tana met Jessica in Bangkok in 2000 and married in Hong Kong in 2003.  Tana has now visited 25 countries with another 25 to go.  Tana takes care of day-to-day affairs of Swiss King supporting and being supported by Vicky and ensuring the best client services for all tenants and owners.

 

Vicky is the General Manager – and does a great job with all the Admin and taking care of tenants needs to ensure a happy, pleasant, and great place to work (or store goods) for our range of tenants and Owners.  Vicky is not only efficient but the best of people to work with and we are so fortunate to have her on the team.

 

We have a Facilities Team to ensure all aspects of King’s Studios are kept to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and smooth operations.
